This is a planning partnership with the NHS that enables Amgen to create a service pathway with health care professionals working in that service. This is captured pictorially in MS Visio and highlights, with the HCPs, the gaps or blocks within the system. This helps identify and feedback any changes to the visual map to support areas of improvement. Pathway mapping is offered after initial conversations around the value of looking more deeply at specific services that the NHS currently provides to patients. This can be across various therapy areas including cardiovascular, inflammation, and oncology.
Amgen seeks to work with the NHS to develop services to provide the best value for money and cost-benefit for national and regional commissioning groups. It also works to provide cost-effective therapies to increase patient access to innovative medicines.
